About PDF forms

PDF forms fills in interactive forms: application forms, tax documents and registration sheets. Fields show up on the page, so you type straight into them and tick their boxes. You can also turn a plain PDF into a form others can fill: add text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns, lists, date fields and signature fields, or press Detect fields to have the blank lines, boxes and empty table cells found for you, then review each suggestion.

Why your files stay private

Forms ask for exactly the details you'd least like to spread around: addresses, ID numbers, health and income. With Nopload the form is filled and saved inside your browser, and none of your answers reach a server.

PDF forms: common questions

What does flattening do?
It turns the fields into ordinary page content, so the answers can no longer be changed and look the same in every reader. Leave it off if the form still needs editing.
My PDF says it has no form fields. Can I still fill it in?
Yes. Add text fields where the blanks are, or use Edit PDF to type directly onto the page.
Will the filled form work in other PDF readers?
Yes. Answers are saved into the standard PDF form fields, which Acrobat, browsers and phone readers all display.
Can I fill forms in non-Latin scripts?
Yes. Where a field needs it, a font covering your text is embedded so the answer displays correctly.
What kinds of fields can I add?
Text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns, lists, date fields and empty signature fields. Detect fields can suggest them from the blanks on a flat form. Give each one a clear name so the answers stay easy to identify.
