About Rotate PDF
Rotate PDF fixes pages that open sideways or upside down, which is common with scans and photos of documents. Turn the whole document in one go, or turn single pages with the arrows on their thumbnails. The rotation is saved into the file, so the pages open the right way round in every reader and print correctly. It also handles the classic double-sided scan, where every second page comes out upside down.
Why your files stay private
The pages are turned by changing the PDF on your own device. The file is never uploaded, so even a quick fix to a sensitive scan doesn't leave a copy on a server somewhere.
Rotate PDF: common questions
- Does rotating reduce quality?
- No. Only the page's orientation setting changes; the text, images and drawings inside are not redrawn, so nothing is lost and the text stays selectable.
- Can I rotate only some pages?
- Yes. Set “Rotate all by” to 0, then turn just the pages that need it with the arrows on their thumbnails.
- Which way is 90 degrees?
- 90 turns pages clockwise, 270 anticlockwise and 180 turns them upside down.
- Why does my reader show pages rotated but they print wrong?
- Turning the view in a reader often isn't saved in the file. Rotate PDF writes the rotation into the PDF itself, so it applies everywhere.
- Can I rotate pages in several PDFs?
- Rotate PDF works on one file at a time. Organise PDF can load several files and turn any of their pages.
