About PDF to PowerPoint

PDF to PowerPoint makes a PPTX presentation with one slide per page. The page's design, pictures and drawings become the slide background, and its text is laid over the top in text boxes you can edit, so you can update a figure or a title in a deck you only have as a PDF. Turn off editable text to keep each slide as a picture.

Why your files stay private

Each page is rendered and the presentation is assembled by code in your browser. The PDF isn't uploaded and the PPTX is created on your device, so unreleased pitch decks and board papers stay with you.

PDF to PowerPoint: common questions

Does the text keep its original font and colour?
The text is placed at its original position and size in a standard font and a dark colour, and stays fully editable. You may want to restyle headings to match the original design.
What size are the slides?
The slide size follows the first page of the PDF, so a 16:9 export comes back as 16:9 slides and an A4 page as an A4-shaped slide.
Are charts and pictures editable?
No. Charts, photos and shapes are part of the background picture, which keeps them looking right. Only the text is editable.
Why is the text doubled on my slides?
It shouldn't be: text is removed from the background before the editable boxes are added. If a scanned page has no real text, there are no boxes, only the picture.
Can I convert several PDFs at once?
Yes. Each PDF becomes its own presentation, with one slide per page, and you can download them together as a ZIP.
