About Scan to PDF

Scan to PDF turns your phone or laptop camera into a document scanner. Capture each page, and the Document look evens out shadows and uneven lighting and turns the paper white with crisp black text, so a photo of a letter on a kitchen table reads like a scan. Greyscale and original colour are there for photos, forms with colour and drawings.

Why your files stay private

The camera feed and every captured photo stay in your browser. Filtering and building the PDF happen on your device, so pictures of IDs, letters or receipts are never sent to Nopload. The camera is only used while this page is open and you have allowed it.

Scan to PDF: common questions

Why doesn't the camera start?
Your browser asks for permission the first time. If access was blocked, allow the camera in the site settings, or take photos with your camera app and add them as files.
Can I make the scanned text searchable?
Yes. Scans are pictures of text, so send the finished PDF to OCR PDF, which adds an invisible text layer you can search, select and copy.
Which look should I use?
Document works best for printed or handwritten text on white paper. Use Greyscale when shading matters, and Original colour for photos, stamps, coloured forms or receipts with faint print.
How do I get the best result?
Lay the page flat in even light, fill most of the frame with it and hold the camera parallel to the paper. Avoid direct flash, which leaves a bright glare spot.
Can I use photos I already took?
Yes. Instead of the camera, add photos from your gallery or computer as files. They get the same clean-up and page size as captured pages.
