How to use Sign PDF

About Sign PDF

Sign PDF puts your handwritten-style signature on a document, quickly and without printing and scanning. Draw it with a mouse, finger or stylus, type your name and pick a style, or upload a picture of your signature. Add initials and today's date too, place them anywhere, resize them, and repeat them on every page in one step. If you have a certificate file, you can also add a certificate-based digital signature that shows whether the file changes later.

Why your files stay private

A signature image is personal, and so are the contracts it goes on. Both stay on your device: the signature is drawn in your browser and placed into the PDF there, without an account and without uploading anything.

Sign PDF: common questions

Is this a legally valid signature?
A drawn, typed or uploaded signature is an electronic signature placed as an image, which is accepted for many everyday agreements. With a certificate (.p12 or .pfx) you can also add a digital signature that anyone can check, for example with Check PDF signatures. Check what your recipient or jurisdiction requires.
Can I sign every page at once?
Yes. Use “Place on all pages” to add the same signature or initials to every page, as many contracts ask for.
Is my signature saved?
Your signature isn't uploaded or stored by Nopload. It is drawn into the PDF on your device, and you create it again next time.
Can other people still edit the signed PDF?
The signature becomes part of the page, but anyone with a PDF editor can change a PDF. To restrict editing, run Protect PDF on the signed file.
Can I sign on a phone?
Yes. Draw your signature with your finger on the touch screen, then tap the page to place it where it belongs.
