How to use Exam Photo Resizer

  1. 01Add your photo or signature. Phone photos, scans, PNG, HEIC and most other image types work.
  2. 02Pick an example preset or choose Custom and type the width, height and KB range from your form's notice. Choose whether to crop to fit or pad with white, and whether to make it greyscale.
  3. 03Press Resize images. Each result shows its exact pixels and size; download it and upload it to the portal.

About Exam Photo Resizer

Exam, scholarship, job and KYC portals usually ask for a passport-style photo and a scanned signature at fixed pixel dimensions and inside a size range in kilobytes, and reject anything else. Exam Photo Resizer crops or pads your picture to exactly the width and height you set, then picks the highest JPEG quality that stays under the maximum. If a plain image stays under the minimum even at the best quality, a hidden comment is added to the file to reach it, and the result tells you so. The presets are typical examples, not any portal's official rules: always check the notice for your form and use Custom to enter its exact numbers.

Why your files stay private

Photos of your face and your signature are exactly the kind of files that should not sit on a stranger's server. Everything here runs in your browser, with the image encoder compiled to WebAssembly, so your pictures never leave your device.

Exam Photo Resizer: common questions

Are these presets the official sizes for my exam?
No. They are common examples, such as a 200 x 230 px photo between 20 and 50 KB. Portals change their rules and each one publishes its own, so read your form's instructions and enter the exact numbers under Custom.
Why is my file bigger than I expected?
Many forms set a minimum as well as a maximum. A simple signature on white can be only a few kilobytes even at top quality, so Nopload adds a hidden comment inside the JPEG to reach the minimum. The picture itself is not changed, and the result says when this happened.
Should I crop or pad my photo?
Crop keeps the middle of the picture and fills the whole frame, which suits face photos taken with some space around the head. Pad keeps the whole picture and adds white bars, which suits signatures and documents that must not lose an edge.
What if it can't get under the maximum size?
The result says so instead of handing you a file the portal would reject. Try a smaller pixel size if the form allows it, turn on greyscale for signatures, or use a simpler, less noisy picture.
Can I resize several photos at once?
Yes. Add as many images as you like and each one is resized to the same settings. You can download them one by one or together as a ZIP.
